The Wrestling Team faced off against some of it’s toughest competition thus far in a Tri-meet with George Washington HS (GWHS) and Tunstall HS. The team finished the night 1-1 with a win against GWHS and a loss to a very strong Tunstall team.
After squeaking out a close win against GWHS 36-34 the, Tigers stepped up their performance and wrestled a much tougher Tunstall team, who had more depth and experience. In the end, it wasn’t enough and the Tigers lost to Tunstall 25-51.
Leading the Team with two victories apiece on the night was: Cadet Blake Moore (126), who improved his record to 5-1 on the season; Cadet Dakota Wetherbee (132) improved his record to 7-1; and Cadet Joel Corpening (138) who is at 6-1.
The Team goes back into action next week taking on Appomattox.
