Varsity Wrestling vs. VISWA State Tournament

April 27, 2011

The Tiger wrestling team participated in the state tournament this weekend at St. Christopher’s School. The Tigers had a great team effort in placing 6^th out of the 31 teams in the tournament. Leading the way for Hargrave was Andy Halonen at 171; Andy improved his season record to 36-1 and captured the state title. Overall the Tigers had eight wrestlers place in the tournament. The following wrestlers participated: 112 Adam Radan 5^th place, 119 Patrick Kelley 4^th place, 125 Afsheen Robinson, 130 Andrew Johnson 8^th place, 135 Teddy Wynne, 140 Chris Mouton 8^th place, 145 John Nelson, 152 Jerrit Reed 7^th place, 171 Andy Halonen 1^st place, 189 Stephen Smither, 215 Zack Austin 4^th place and 275 Jon Sterner 6^th place.
