The Hargrave Tigers traveled to Front Royal, VA to compete in the YJAA Invitational over the weekend and saw strong individual performances and marketed team improvement.
It was a long day of travel for the Tigers but it didn’t show once they hit the mat. Hargrave had four wrestlers all shine, going 4-1 throughout the course of the day. Sebastian Richardson ’20, Ezekiel Umali ’23, Alexander Rosario ’22, and Malachi Jackson ’23 all showed vast improvement and really set the tone for the rest of the team. “I was really proud of our guys today,” said Head Coach Matt Vinson. “We are continuing to grow and we are learning to win and lose with class. These guys looked like they were a team getting ready for the home stretch and constantly pushed each other throughout the day.”
