The Hargrave chapter of the National Beta Club is a selective national honor society created to promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service, and leadership among elementary and secondary school students.

Standards of membership in the Hargrave Military Academy Chapter of the National Beta Club must conform to the general features as laid down in the National Constitution, the Hargrave Military Academy Constitution and By-laws and, in all cases, must be approved by the Executive Committee.

Junior Beta Club
The membership of the Junior Beta Club section of the Hargrave Military Academy Chapter of the National Beta Club shall be drawn from grades seven through eight. To be inducted into the Junior Beta Club, a prospective member must maintain the Dean’s or President’s List for a minimum of one semester, actively participate in a minimum of two extra-curricular activities and be in good standing with the Hargrave Military Academy Honor Council.
