Varsity Basketball vs. Roanoke Valley Christian School

The Tigers concluded their regular season on Monday night with a 81-51 victory over Roanoke Valley Christian. Leading the way for Hargrave was Seniors James Eversley (20 pts., 8 rebs., 4 assist., and 4 steals), Ryan King (15 pts., 7 rebs., and 2 steals), Clarence Conrad (13 pts., 4 rebs., and 3 steals) and Terry Teal (10 pts., 5 assist, and 4 steals). Junior, Andrew McDonald (10 pts., 5 rebs., and 3 blks.) also had a great game coming off the bench in support. With the win the Tigers record improves to 11-8 overall and 10-4 VIC. Hargrave returns to action on Thursday, February 24th, when the Tigers will travel to Lynchburg College for the opening rounds of the VIC tournament. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 PM.

Varsity Basketball vs. North Cross School

The Tigers won a very close game at North Cross on Wednesday by the score of 55-54. Leading the way for the Tigers were Ryan King (14 pts., 7 rebs., and 3 assist), Clarence Conrad (12 pts., 5 assist, and 3 steals), and James Eversley (10 pts., 10 rebs., and 8 steals). Junior, Andrew McDonald (10 pts., 5 rebs., 2 assist, and 2 steals) and Sophomore, Jeffrey Oboite (4 pts., 6 rebs., and 2 steals) also had big games on both ends of the floor. With the win the Tigers record improves to 10-8 overall and 9-4 in the VIC. Hargrave return to the hardwoods for our final regular season game on Monday, Feb. 21st, when we will host Roanoke Valley Christian School. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00 PM.

Varsity Basketball vs. Lynchburng Christian Academy

The Tigers won a hard fought game against the Bulldogs of LCA last night by a score of 64-57. Leading the way for the Tigers were seniors Ryan King (24 pts., 5 rebs., and 2 steals) and James Eversley (19 pts., 15 rebs., 5 steals, and 3 blks.) Andrew McDonald (8 pts., 6 rebs., and 3 blks.) and Jeffrey Oboite (4 points and 8 rebs.) also had solid nights on the defensive end of the floor. Senior guard, Clarence Conrad (8 pts., 4 rebs., and 3 assist) contributed by hitting four big free throws at the end to help seal the win. With the victory Hargrave's record improves to 9-8 overall and 8-4 in the VIC. Hargrave returns to action on Wedenesday, Feb. 16th, when the Tigers will travel to North Cross. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM.

The Tigers suffered another hard fought loss to the Tornados of Timberlake Christian Academy. The Tigers were led on offense by Ryan King (23 pts., 10 rebs., and 2 assist). Andrew McDonald (9 pts., 6 rebs., and 2 blks.), James Eversley (7 pts., 8 rebs., and 2 blks.) and Terry Teal (8 pts., 4 rebs., and 3 steals) also had solid performances on both ends of the court for the Tigers. With the loss the Tigers record drops to 8-8 overall and 7-4 in the VIC. Hargrave returns to action on Tuesday, Feb. 15th, when the Tigers will travel to Lynchburg Christian Academy. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM

The Tigers suffered another hard fought loss on Tuesday to the Chiefs of Carlisle. Leading the way for the Tigers were seniors Ryan King (17 pts., 8 rebs., 2 steals) and James Eversley (16 pts., 10 rebs., 2 blks). Senior guard Clarence Conrad (14 pts., 3 rebs., 3 assist, 3 steals) also had a solid night on both ends of the floor. With the loss the Tigers record falls to 8-7 overall and 7-3 VIC. Hargrave returns to action on Saturday, February 12, when the Tigers will take on the Tornados of Timberlake Christian Academy. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00 PM.

USA Swimming vs. A/BB/B/C Age Group Meet at Gator Center

The Hargrave Aquatics Tigers began the first meet of their Short Course season in Roanoke under the direction of Head Coach Allan Andersen. Several top performances by the team made our first meet extremely successful.

Varsity Basketball vs. Holy Cross School

The Tigers got a huge win Tuesday night when they defeated the Gaels of Holy Cross 74-61. Leading the way for the Tigers were seniors Ryan King (17 pts, 9 rebs., and 4 steals) and James Eversley (15 pts., 10 rebs., 4 assist, and 4 steals). Senior point guard Terry Teal (11 pts, 6 rebs., and 4 steals) also had a solid night on both ends of the court. The biggest surprise of the night came from the play of reserve guard Justin Boyd (15 pts., 3 rebs., and 2 steals). With the win Hargrave's record improves to 8-6 overall and 7-2 VIC. The Tigers return to the hardwoods on Thursday, Feburary 3rd when the team will travel to Lynchburg, Virginia to take on the Tornados of Timberlake Christian Academy. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM.

The Tigers suffered their fifth loss of the season to a much more experienced New Horizon Christian School. Leading the way for the Tigers were seniors Ryan King (18 pts., 8 rebs., and 3 steals) and Clarence Conrad (15 pts., 3 steals, and 3 assist). Sophomore Justin Boyd (7 pts. and 3 rebs.) and Junior Andrew McDonald (8 pts., 4 rebs., and 2 blocks)both played well coming off the bench. With the loss the Tigers record falls to 7-5 overall and 6-2 VIC. The Tigers return to the floor to take on Oak Hill (Red) on Friday, January 28th. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 PM.

Leading the way for the Tigers were guard Clarence Conrad (19 pts., 5 rebs., and 3 steals) and forward James Eversley (14 pts., 7 rebs., and 3 blks.) Guards Ryan King (9 pts., 7 rebs., and 3 steals) and Chris Smoot (4 pts., 4 assist, and 2 steals) also had solid games on both ends of the floor. With the loss the Tigers record falls to 7-4 overall and 6-2 in the VIC. The Tigers will return to action on Wednesday, January 26th, when they will travel to New Horizon School. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 PM.

The Tigers suffered a heartbreaking overtime loss to North Cross last night. The Tigers led for most of the game, but were unable to hang on at the end. Leading the way for the Tigers were Ryan King (18 pts., 9 rebs., and 3 steals), James Eversley (15 pts., 9 rebs., 2 steals, and 2 blocks) and Clarence Conrad (13 pts., 3 assist, and 3 steals). Both Justin Boyd (6 pts., 3 rebs., and 3 steals) and Jarod Leaper (6 pts., and 4 rebs.) had solid games coming off the bench. With the loss the Tigers' record drops to 7-3 overall and 6-1 in the VIC. Hargrave's next game will be on Friday, January 14th, when we will travel to Carlisle. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 pm.

The Tigers got their seventh win of the season with a hard fought victory over the Bulldogs of LCA. Leading the way for the Tigers was James Eversley (25 pts., 9 rebs., and 2 blks.) and Ryan King (22 pts., 8 rebs., and 8 steals) each of whom had solid games on both ends of the floor. Senior Clarence Conrad (13 pts., 4 rebs., and 2 steals), Sophomore Jeffrey Oboite (8 pts., 10 rebs., and 2 blks.), and Senior Terry Teal (3 pts., 5 rebs., 4 assist, and 3 steals) also had solid performances. Chris Smoot (2 pts., 2 rebs., 4 assist, and 2 steals), Justin Boyd (2 pts., 3 rebs., and 2 steals), Jarod Leaper (2 pts., 2 rebs., and 2 assist), Kayode Ogunnaike (3 rebs., and 3 steals), and Matthew Reynolds (4 rebs., 1 steal, and 1 blk.) all added that balance that was needed to help pull out the win. With the win the Tigers record improves to 7-2 overall and 6-0 in the VIC. Hargrave returns to action on Wednesday, January 12th, when they will face off against North Cross. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00 pm.

The Tigers picked up their fifth win of the season with a hard fought victory over the Falcons of Roanoke Valley Christian. It was a total team effort with all players contributing lots of minutes. On offense the Tigers were led by Ryan King (20 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals), James Eversley (18 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assist, and 3 blocks), and Clarence Conrad (16 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assist). Guards Terry Teal (4 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assist, and 2 steals) and Chris Smoot (5 assist and 2 steals) also had solid games running the offense. Kayode Ogunnaike (5 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals), Jeffery Oboite (5 rebounds and 1 block), Aaron Parker (3 poitns, 3 reounds, and 1 steal), and Matt Reynolds (4 rebounds and 1 steal) all played extremely well in reserve. With the win the Tigers record improves to 5-2 overall and 4-0 VIC. Hargrave will now break for the Christams Holidays. The Tigers return to the hardwoods on Friday, January 7th, when they will take on Westover Christian Academy. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 pm.

The Tigers were able to hang on and win a hard fought game against the Gaels of Holy Cross. Leading the way for the Tigers was Ryan King (23 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 assist). Guards Terry Teal (13 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assist, and 3 steals),Clarence Conrad (13 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assist, and 3 steals).Forward James Eversley (7 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assist, and 3 blocks) also had solid games on both ends of the court. The Tigers were able to keep the Gaels offense in check for most of the game. This comes from the solid play of guards Kayode Ogunnaike and Chris Smoot and back up center Jeffery Oboite. With the win the Tigers record improves to 4-2 overall and 3-0 VIC. Hargrave returns to the hardwoods on Thursday, December 16th, when they will travel to Roanoke Valley Christian School. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 pm.

Varsity Basketball vs. VIC Semi-Finals – Carlisle

The Tigers lost a hard fought game to Carlisle on Friday. Leading the way for the Tigers was Senior Rashad Smith (22 pts., 4 assist, 3 steals). Rashad was also named to the All-VIC Tournament team. The loss now means that the Tigers will have to wait and see if they qualify for the state tournament, which will start on Tuesday, March 2. The loss also ends a eight game winning streak that started on February 6th. The Tigers record now falls to 13-5 overall and 13-4 in conference.
