The Runnin’ Tigers made the short trip down to Danville, VA to compete in the Metro Meet on Wednesday afternoon. After a strong performance, Hargrave placed 3rd in the Metro standings and finished the meet 4th overall.
The Tigers were able to utilize cool weather and a fast course at Anglers Park to their advantage as a great number of runners had incredibly strong performances. Hargrave was led by Jaden Carter (19:30, 13th overall) and Wesley Marquardt (19:34, 14th overall). Both runners earned Second Team All-Metro honors following the completion of the meet.
Carter and Marquardt were followed by Mason Schrage (20:28), Scott Kennedy (20:41), and Gage Crisp (21:02).
Caleb Chester (23:36), Jay Thompson (23:37), Ethan Teluk (24:14), Bohong Yang (25:28), and Bennett Soles (26:29, PR) rounded out the field for the Tigers.
Hargrave is back in action on Saturday morning as they head to Lynchburg, VA to compete in the VIC Conference Championship Meet.
