Varsity Cross Country vs. St. Anne’s Invitational
May 25, 2011
Hargrave placed fifth out of eight teams at the STAB Invitational. The Tigers ran well after having run on the course the week before at the Covenant invitational. The following Athletes scored for the HMA in order of their finish; David Weiss, Nathan Gunter, Miles Chalmers, Peter Cole, and Clarence Bell. Hunter Edwards rounded out the field for the Tigers.

Last week Hargrave faced stiff competition to place tenth at the Giles Invitational. Ben Magur, Corey Wilcox, Fred Rose, Jordan Erickson, and Patrick Carey all scored for the Tigers. Will Gardner and Giles Wells completed the field for Hargrave.

Hargrave fell to Fuqua 21 to 34 on soggy home course. The following Cadets scored for the Tigers in order of their finish: Artur Brzezicki, Corey Wilcox, Thomas Cooper, Zach Alexander, and Fred Rose.

The Tigers ran into stiff competition at the Invitational hosted by Roanoke Catholic. The Tigers came in sixth place out of seven with a score of 132. The other team’s scores were as follows Radford 32, James River 58, Roanoke Catholic 62, Floyd Co. 127, and Giles Co. 195.
Varsity Cross Country vs. Miller School Fall Classic

With 72 points, Hargrave placed fourth in the First of Fall Classic at Miller School. Miller with 19, North Cross with 66, and Blue Ridge with 66 each scored ahead of the Tigers. Sixty four runners participated from seven different schools.
