Varsity Cross Country vs. Chatham High School
March 26, 2011
The Cross Country Team was flat and fell to Chatham in their home opener. Matt DiVittorio posted his second first place finish for the Tigers (3rd overall). Dakota Wetherbee scored for the first time this year, placing fourth overall.
Varsity Cross Country vs. North Cross School

The Tigers keep improving! Hargrave placed second in their meet at North Cross School. Most of our runners posted improved times on the rugged mountainous course. Hargrave runners scored in seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, and thirteenth place.
Varsity Cross Country vs. Dan River High School

The Tigers went head to head with Dan River High School on the course at Dan Daniels Park. Although the tigers came up short (34-21) they posted improved times.

The Tigers got their first taste of competition at the Dogwood – Piedmont Invitational. Hargrave runners ran hard after only ten days of practice.

The Tigers fell to the Bulldogs of Liberty Christian Academy in a non-conference season finale, 47-61.

The basketball games scheduled for Monday, February 7, 2011, versus Chatham High School have been canceled. These games are non-conference games and will not be rescheduled.

Hargrave secured a conference win over Carlisle 80-64. The Tigers jumped out to an early 8-0 lead and never looked back. The lead was 46-34 at half time and grew to as much as 22 in the second half.
Varsity Basketball vs. Virginia Episcopal School

Hargrave traveled to VES for a conference match with the Bishops and fell 69-93. In an exciting first half, the Tigers came out and went toe to toe with VES, leading by one after the first quarter and trailing by two at half time.

The Tigers were able to overcome a sloppy second half and horrendous free throw shooting to remain unbeaten in conference play with a 76-70 overtime victory against Covenant.

The Tigers jumped out early and never looked back as they downed the Lions of Faith Christian Academy, 92-60.

The Tigers were able to overcome a very tough Liberty Christian team, 70-66. Hargrave jumped out early to an 8-0 lead and never looked back, controlling the game wire-to-wire.

The Tigers came roaring out of the gate on Senior Night while facing the Cassions of Fishburne Military School. An early ten point first quarter lead was reduced to five by the Cassions as they withstood the emotions of the night.

Hargrave returned to the road to take on the Raiders of Appomattox County High School in a non-conference contest. For the second game in a row, the Tigers fell behind by one point at the end of the first quarter.

The Tigers returned from the Christmas break with a 78-62 win over the Chiefs from Carlisle School. On the road, Hargrave fell behind by one point at the end of the first quarter.

The Tigers suffered a defeat at the hands of the Bishops of Virginia Episcopal School, 83-89. The Bishops roared out of the gate, taking a 26-11 first quarter lead.
Varsity Basketball vs. Holy Cross

Playing on back-to-back nights, the Tigers struggeled against the Gaels of Holy Cross, but were able to pull out a tough conference win, 57-54. A sluggish first half was lead by Hargrave 23-21. By the end of the third quarter, Hargrave increased the lead by four points.

Hargrave hosted and defeated the Cavaliers of Chatham High School, 80-71. In a face paced game, the Tigers got out early and held a one point lead at the end of the first. Solid defense allowed Hargrave to build the lead to 11 points at halftime.
