The varsity golf team defeated Timberlake Christian 210 -250 after a tough loss from Liberty Christian earlier in the week.
Varsity Baseball Victorious Over Roanoke Catholic

The Varsity Baseball Team as able to bounce back from Monday’s defeat E.C. Glass to defeat the Celtics of Roanoke Catholic by a score of 11-1 in 5 innings. A solid pitching effort from the trio of Bousman, Houck, and Mishue were the key to the game. The trio combined for 11 strikeouts, while walking 3, and surrendering 1 hit over the 5 innings. Leading the way for the Tigers at the plate was Shane Bousman (2 for 3, 2 RBI’s), Vaughan Nunn (2 for 3, 2 RBI’s) and Ryne Sigmon (2 for 3, RBI).

Hargrave Tiger Golf had their first match right after our Spring Break. The Tigers were somewhat cold. Co-Captain and Number one seed Josh Sadler won his individual match but the Tigers fell short to the Bulldogs of LCA losing the match 184 - 208.

Hilltoppers Topple Tigers

The Varsity Baseball team took a hard opening season loss on Monday by a score of 13-3 to the Hilltoppers of E.C. Glass. The game started off great for the Tigers, as they were able to maintain the lead for the first 3 innings. However, it was from that point that the “error bug” hit. The Tigers ended up committing 7 fielding errors, which allowed the Hilltoppers to get back into and eventually win the game.

The Varsity Basketball team lost in a tremendous state tournament game in overtime to Atlantic Shores Christian. The team finished 17-7 on the season and ranked number #9 in the state.

The Prep national Wrestling Tournament was held in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania at Lehigh University, February 23-15, 2012. Cawthon and Chase qualified for the tournament by placing in the Top 4 at the State Tournament. Both athletes did an outstanding job this weekend and throughout the year.
