The Tigers finished the regular season by sweeeping a tri-match with Miller School, North Cross and Roanoke Catholic. Varsity Rifle Team vs. Massanutten Military Academy

The Tiger Shooters fired a consistent match and gained another victory against Massanutten. The team fired its highest score thus far for the season. Haymes fired a perfect score (100) in the prone position. Lazo fired a hot match and achieved the match high score. Gladding, a first year shooter, broke the 250 barrier and joined the top four for the second time this season. All of the first year shooters fired 225 or above. Top 4: Lazo 276 Haymes 268 Gladding 256 Perry 247. Other Scores: Frank 246 Johnson 235 Kroh 231 Forrester 225. The Tiger wrestling team improved their dual match record to 15-3 with a win over Lynchburg Christian Academy. Varsity Rifle Team vs. Randolph-Macon Academy

April 27, 2011

The Tiger shooters fought through some challenges and defeated Randolph-Macon. This was not an easy match because of a couple of top shooters firing misses in the standing position. The shooters kept it together, maintained focus and fought through the remaining portion of the match. Lazo's steady shooting greatly assisted in the final outcome of the match. The Tigers placed second in the team score with 312.5 points, VES won the tournanment with 369 points. In the head to head dual matches Hargrave recorded a 7-2 record. Leading the way for the Tigers were: 145 Dane Noeth 1st place, 125 Jared Ruetter 3rd place, 130 Page Mizell 3rd place, 171 Nate Wollens 4th place and 275 Bill McMillan 4th place.
