JV Soccer vs. Virginia Episcopal School

May 26, 2011

Hargrave 0 - VES 'B' 5 The Hargrave JV Soccer team faced off against a physically larger VES squad. While the final score does not show it, the team remained competitive against VES throughout the match-up with multiple drives against the VES goal. Unfortunately, the VES goalie, basically the tallest and oldest member of their squad, blocked all five of Hargrave's shots at the goal. Most of those attempts were by Cadet Nam and Simms. Cadet McCabe became frustrated after the first VES goal against him as the Hargrave goalie, but did successfully manage to block 15 shots on the goal. Cadets Bartholomew and Fofanah remained diligent on defense, with good support from the team against a physically superior foe. Cadets Ndanga, King, Miller and Nonga remained aggressive against VES throughout their time of play, despite the longer strides of their opponents.
