The junior Tigers faced their strongest opponent of the year in the Bulldogs from Liberty Christian Academy. The Tigers played one of their best defensive games of the year giving up only 3 errors, but LCA’s 21 hits left the Tigers with a 21-2 loss.
JV Tigers Rally To Tie Martinsville

The Junior Tigers showed some heart in a tough game with Martinsville High School on Friday afternoon. The Tigers jump out to 6-0 lead but fell behind 9-8 going into the bottom of the last inning. Refusing to give up the Tigers tied the game at 9-9. The game ended in a tie do to darkness.
JV Baseball Overcomes Deficit to Down Fishburne

The Junior Tigers had a great win Thursday afternoon in Waynesboro. It was a tremendous effort, after falling behind 11-2 then 12-2 fought back to win 15-13. Going into the top of the last inning down 13-7 the young Tigers scored 8 unanswered runs to secure the win.

JV Tennis Slips In Exhibition Match

The Tigers played against E.C. Glass on April 5th. The E.C. Glass team only had 5 players, technically that is a forfeit... but we played anyway with what we had. In 5 singles matches and three doubles, with the E.C. Glass coach filling in for the sixth team. We lost 0-8 total - but our games were closer than the VES match - losing at 3-8, 4-8.

On April 4th, the Tigers played against VES. The match tally was 1-8 in favor of the Bishops. Chase Cooper won his singles match. The game scores were either 1-8, 0-8, or 3-8.

Varsity Baseball Falls to Bassett

The Varsity Baseball team took a very tough loss against the Bengals of Bassett High School on Monday by the score of 9-0. The Tigers were only able to manage three hits over the seven inning game. Those three hits came from William Bartholomew, Vaughan Nunn, and Ryne Sigmon. With the loss the Tigers fall to 3-5 overall and 1-0 in the VIC.
