2009 Varsity Rifle Season and State Results
November 2, 2009
The 2009 HMA rifle team finished first place for the season (undefeated) and second place at the state tournament held at FUMA. This year the average score for the team was 1010 points per match. This average exceeds last year’s average by 12 points. There were also 11 individual awards presented to HMA shooters.

Hargrave Military Academy Forensics Team Goes to National Tournament

Eight members of the Hargrave Military Academy Forensics Team traveled to Albany, NY for the National Catholic Forensics League Grand National Tournament that was held on May 23-24th.
Bartholomew Named to 2009 USA Basketball Team

365 Sports, Inc. recently named Cadet Freshman William T. Bartholomew, Jr. of Hargrave Military Academy to the 2009 USA Basketball Team. William will represent the United States at the 2009 Wilson Swiss All-Star Tournament, which will be held in Switzerland. This decision to accept him was based on his exceptional play and dedication to basketball.
Smith Named All-Conference

Varsity Basketball player and junior Danny Smith was recently selected for an honorable mention for the All-Conference Division of the Virginia Independent Conference (VIC). Smith averaged 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists for the season. Smith is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Smith, Jr. and is from Goldsboro, North Carolina.
