The Varsity Tennis team opened their 2014 season at home on March 11 with a matchup against the Covenant School (Charlottesville, VA). After two weeks of weather extremes, a warm spring sun shone down on the courts of Hargrave's Landon Tennis Center, melting the remaining traces of last weekend's snow and sleet.

The Varsity Tennis finished a roller coaster ride in their first week back from Spring Break. Following a win against Fishburne Military, an unseasonal and unexpected sleet storm swept in on Thursday, before the the sun finally broke through Friday afternoon as the Tigers welcomed the North Cross School (Roanoke, VA) Raiders to the Landon Tennis Center.

Fresh off Spring Break, the Varsity Tennis Tigers were able to hold off a determined Caisson squad under some occasionally brisk conditions at Landon Tennis Center. The win moves the Hargrave team match record to 1-2 and drops Fishburne Military School (Waynesboro, VA) to 0-1.
