Varsity Basketball vs. North Cross School
March 26, 2011
The Tigers traveled to take on conference foe North Cross and came out with a victory, 75-65. A sluggish start put Hargrave down by one point at half time, 32-31.
Varsity Basketball vs. Fishburne Military School
March 26, 2011
The Tigers came roaring out of the gate on Senior Night while facing the Cassions of Fishburne Military School. An early ten point first quarter lead was reduced to five by the Cassions as they withstood the emotions of the night.
Varsity Basketball vs. Appomattox County High School

Hargrave returned to the road to take on the Raiders of Appomattox County High School in a non-conference contest. For the second game in a row, the Tigers fell behind by one point at the end of the first quarter.
Varsity Basketball vs. Carlisle

The Tigers returned from the Christmas break with a 78-62 win over the Chiefs from Carlisle School. On the road, Hargrave fell behind by one point at the end of the first quarter.
Varsity Basketball vs. Virginia Episcopal School

The Tigers suffered a defeat at the hands of the Bishops of Virginia Episcopal School, 83-89. The Bishops roared out of the gate, taking a 26-11 first quarter lead.
Varsity Basketball vs. Holy Cross

Playing on back-to-back nights, the Tigers struggeled against the Gaels of Holy Cross, but were able to pull out a tough conference win, 57-54. A sluggish first half was lead by Hargrave 23-21. By the end of the third quarter, Hargrave increased the lead by four points.
Varsity Basketball vs. Chatham High School

Hargrave hosted and defeated the Cavaliers of Chatham High School, 80-71. In a face paced game, the Tigers got out early and held a one point lead at the end of the first. Solid defense allowed Hargrave to build the lead to 11 points at halftime.
Varsity Basketball vs. Tunstall High School

The Tigers fell to the Trojans of Tunstall High Shool, 62-60. The Trojans rode hot shooting in the first half to a lead as big as 13 points. Hargrave was able to whittle the deficit down to three by halftime.
Varsity Basketball vs. VES Tournament

The Tigers opened the season at the Robert Thomas Memorial basketball tournament at Virginia Episcopal School. The opening round game was played against E.C. Glass High School on Friday night. Hargrave jumped out to an 18-12 first quarter lead behind hot shooting by Javonte Rankin. Glass came back to take a three point lead by half time. In an exciting second half, the lead exchanged hands several times
Varsity Basketball vs. Westover Christian Academy – Scrimmage
March 26, 2011
The Tigers opened the season with a 66-33 victory in a scrimmage against the Bulldogs of Westover Christian Academy. Hargrave jumped out to a 7 point first quarter lead and never looked back. The lead was built to 12 by halftime and ballooned to a 58-23 lead at the end of the third quarter. Stifling defense allowed the Tigers to score easy transition buckets and the rebounding battle was won 30-13.

Dan River for First Scrimmage

The varsity baseball team held a scrimmage game against Dan River. The team lost 6-8.
JV Basketball vs. Liberty Christian Academy

The JV Tigers finished their season with a loss to LCA. The Bulldogs had a hot shooting hand in the first half, with 7 three point buckets by 6 different players, and the Tigers were cold, missing 5 buckets in the paint to end the half down 26 to 34.

JV Basketball vs. Eastern Mennonite High School

The JV Tigers suffered a heartbreaking loss by one point at the buzzer. The Tigers trailed most of the game, at times by more than 10 points. At the half the Tigers were leading 20 to 19.

We played our best overall game and reversed fortunes against this foe. Shooting was much better overall.

We played much better than the first go around against this team. We lead the first quarter but could not overcome their supperiority in heighth and strength through the rest of the game.
